Kieselgel von Silcarbon arbeitet mit einem Farbindikator, welcher als Ersatz für das unter Krebsverdacht geratene Blaugel eingesetzt wird. Das heißt, dass bei Silcarbon definitiv kein Kobaltchlorid eingesetzt wird.
