Have only a few staff to train? Join an open course for just £99 per person! Ensuring the well-being of children is paramount in early years settings. The government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requires all providers in England to have at least one staff member with a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises whenever children are present. More first aiders may be needed depending on the number of children, staff, and the layout of the setting. This ensures a qualified first aider can respond quickly to emergencies. It’s ideal for: Early years staff with Level 2 or 3 childcare qualifications who want to meet the EYFS staff-to-child ratio requirements. Registered childminders and assistants needing a current paediatric first aid certificate.
