In 1996, we emerged from a company which had previously been highly renowned for its laboratory machines and had been active on the market for 100 years. That company was Ruth Schwabenthan Maschinenfabrik and we consider ourselves the perfect successor to continue the product range of the time on the same market. Some loyal employees from the core workforce of the old company were actively involved in founding our new company. Setting out again after this hard break was tough, even though we had some crucial employees at the beginning who already had extensive and relevant experience from the previously mentioned Schwabenthan company to draw from. Since then, our company has had many of its own experiences and gathered its own expertise by successfully making an impressive number of machine designs a reality. Our customers not only come from Germany but are also increasingly from the rest of Europe and some are even from further afield right across the globe.

Over 180 years of AVOLA – a brand that has conquered the world. Quality, tradition and innovations are the values of the machine builder AVOLA in Hattingen an der Ruhr, Germany. Our customers can be found across the globe in Germany and German-speaking countries, as well as across the rest of Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania. Countless patents and utility models across three different centuries are impressive indicators of the unbridled creative innovation of AVOLA. The company started out with machines for the textile industry. These were followed by agricultural machinery, and around 100 years after the company was founded, the first circular saw with wooden frame went on the market. The current product range comprises over 30 saws and operates in two different industries: Structural and civil engineering with circular saws for construction, the refractory industry with stone cutting saws and carpentry with undertable mitre saws. Millions of saws, accessories and spare parts have now been purchased and have made the AVOLA brand what it is today: A strong, professional and reliable partner for trade and industry.
