Hubcycle is a startup that has developed a plant-based upcycling structure that recycles waste (fruit peelings and linseed meal, for example) that it then offers for reuse by other industries. Its aim is to create a genuinely sustainable global network, with by-products from one source meeting demand from another source for plant-based ingredients that are clean and sustainable. Hubcycle brings together industries that use different parts of the same plant, recovering food and plant waste that then become innovative raw materials in food and personal hygiene products. Belrey Fibres SA is a family owned textile recycling company with state-of-the-art machinery and is based in Mouscron, Belgium. Our recycled fibres in polypropylene, polyester and nylon serve a wide variety of end uses such as nonwovens for various industries : automotive, geotextiles, drainage, isolation, compounding and yarn spinning. Another recovery route is regranulation and compounding, which transforms thermoplastic textile waste into granules to manufacture plastic parts. As a cost-effective and “greener” alternative to virgin materials, recycled synthetic fibres serve as secondary material for nonwovens. By working together with our suppliers, we help them to divert textile material from landfill and to save costs for waste disposal.
